The tang of the sea

Hank is almost done with grouting, and it's been a slog. Some surfaces needed extra prep. The black grout was a type he wasn't used to. And then the green grout varied in shade from bag to bag.

We ended up mixing sanded and unsanded versions to even the whole project out, and I think it worked pretty well.

Mike, Arnold's son, made me feel good about it all during his visit last weekend. He looked at the green tiles and said, "The colors of the sea."

That's what I was going for -- the blue-green glow of Keys waters, with the sparkle of sun on the spray.
