I told you he was green
We fished out his cousin -- a near relative anyway -- from the pool at our rental place on Elizabeth a few years back. Almost drowned, it sat on my hand for at least an hour, recovering, breathing steadily but obviously dazed, and then scampered off into the greenery.
But that hour! What an amazing array of tiny, delicate scales. What spectacularly jeweled eyes, with the smallest irises I've seen. Everything in exquisite miniature. Small wonders.
