Over the fold again
Mandy Bolen's windows coverage led the Citizen yet again Tuesday morning.
And yes, that's a close-up of our house.
The caption: "Historic preservation guidelines prevent metal-framed windows, above, to be used in Old Town restoration projects. Wood-framed windows can cost homeowners an additional $3,000 per year in insurance premiums."

don't like that it led with "sticking to their guns." but then i might be skewed--in favor of the smart guys. arrggh, this is making me furious. why the hell can't they see the light?!?!?!
mr morrow's choice of words was especially unfortunate on such a sad day. but he was sitting next to me in the audience -- didn't have a clue who i was -- and nervously asked, after speaking, "how did i do?"
i assured him he'd made his point forcefully, trying to buck his spirit up. "you *do* agree with me, don't you?," he asked. no, i said simply, but you did just fine.
