Whee!

I thought a big splash of color -- this from the sidewalk outside the needlework shop on Fleming -- would be appropriate.

The mechanical inspector came by today, finally, and looked, and looked, and looked, and asked a question or two -- e.g., what are we doing with the dryer vent -- and then I held the building permit out to him, and he signed it.

Now we can insulate, and start closing up the walls.

I went out to Home Depot today to pick up some finishing nails and Bondo (Arnold wants to get after the house facade), and found Patsy back in the appliance department after some surgery (she said she'd heard more "welcome homes" from customers than from co-workers), and noodged Tawny in kitchens about our cabinets.

On the personal front, Arnold reports that Ref is alert and in good spirits. Good news all around.
