The Watsons' view
Pretty, isn't it?
But even lovelier was to see Linda and John, who have a place at the Sunset Harbor Hyatt, at the north end of Truman Annex -- and lovelier yet, they brought with them Ann and Mac McCoin.
Ann's our lawyer, and brought the closing documents to my dad's estate, and reassured me that she wouldn't bill the trip. I did appreciate her droll line. Mac had been here fishing a few times, but this was her first visit, and she loved the tropical landscape.
Monday we walked through our house-to-be, and then had dinner at Mangoes. Tuesday, sunset on the Watsons' balcony. It was John's birthday (and Roger Hanger's, who we called). Then up Duval to dinner at 915, and what a joy to introduce them to after-dinner moscatos. Moscato -- think muscat, then muscadine. . . .
Almost a flavor of East Tennessee, but made in Italy, savored in a tapas restaurant, with Caribbean breezes. All the bases of joy covered, I think.
