Rollin'
Pardon my absence Monday -- lots went on, though I didn't feel much like writing about it.
Arnold built a great floor-mounted box (is that still a soffit?) for the ducts emerging into the loft, and we had some tsouris about where the kitchen island electrical and gas stuff would go -- ultimately handled by cutting access places into the deck.
Tuesday, the hurricane-door guys were there to hang the roller covering the laundry. Aluminum, and quite storm-proof, it will go up with a keyed switch or a hand crank (they seemed to think that was important in power failures, though I held myself back from pointing out that without electricity, the washer and dryer will be really great as large counterweightsl).
We're still waiting for the mechanical inspection (the air conditioning). Tick. Tick.
'Cause when we get that green light, look out.
